Sister project Jungle Rhythms gets international attention

data recovery in the spotlight...

A sister project to COBECORE, Jungle Rhythms, has made it into the international spotlight. Jungle Rhythms strives to transcribe old observations of tree life cycle events (similar to those as digitized in COBECORE), which are key to understanding a tree’s functioning. The project sparked the interest of dr. Dan Grossman, a science journalist, and his nice summary of all the Jungle Rhythms work was published in The Guardian. We hope that this exposure might bring about more funding to safeguard historic collections and capacity building within this context in DR Congo.
